Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction Welcome to JaPan Tours, we are excited to be conducting this tour in conjunction with Kando Martial Arts. By booking a tour with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

2. Booking and Payment 

2.1 To secure a booking, a non refundable deposit of $1600 per person is required at the time of booking. 

2.2 Full payment is due 40 days before the tour start date. 

2.3 You will receive an invoice when payments are due.

2.4 Prices are subject to change without notice due to changes from third party operators, and fluctuations in international exchange rates.

3. Appropriate Participation

3.1 You agree to meet the minimum age requirements for participation as set out by (Kando Chief instructor)

3.2 You agree to meet the requirements as set by the Kando Chief Instructor in regards to correct supervision and accompaniment for travellers under 18 years of age. 

4. Cancellation Policy 

4.1 Cancellations at any stage are non-refundable.  It is your responsibility to purchase Travel insurance at the time of booking your tour.  

4.2 We reserve the right to cancel any tour due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case a full refund may be provided. 

4.3 If the tour has to be cancelled due to a pandemic or act of god, all monies paid thus far are not refundable and should be claimed via the participants travel insurance. 

4.4 If you wish to cancel your booking, you must do so in writing. 

5. Changes to Itinerary 

5.1 We reserve the right to make changes to the tour itinerary due to weather conditions, operational requirements, or other factors beyond our control. 

5.2 Any significant changes will be communicated to you as soon as possible.

5.3 Any request from you for changes to your booking must be made in writing and is subject to availability.

5.4 Any request from you for changes made less than 30days prior to departure may incur a fee of which will be determined by our service providers.

6. Travel Insurance 

6.1 It is your responsibility to obtain adequate travel insurance for the duration of the tour. 

6.2 It is strongly recommended that your insurance covers personal injury, medical expenses, and loss or damage to personal property.

6.3 It is also recommended that your travel insurance covers martial arts training.

6.4 It is strongly recommended you purchase your travel insurance at the time of booking your tour.

7. Responsibilities

7.1 You are responsible for ensuring you have a valid passport, visas, and any necessary vaccinations for the countries you will be visiting.

7.2 JP Tours and Kando Martial Arts are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage to you or your property during the tour.

7.3  You will be taken off tour and returned home, at your own expense, for any behaviour which affects JP Tours reputation, (Kando Martial Arts) reputation, is in breach of local laws and or customs.

7.4 You will be taken off tour and returned home at your own expense at any time if your safety and or health on tour is a risk to yourself and or others, as deemed by your Tour leader and or representative from (Kando Martial Arts)

8. Health and Safety 

8.1 You must inform us of any medical conditions or dietary requirements at the time of booking. 

8.2 You agree to inform us immediately of any newly diagnosed conditions between the time of booking and departure on tour.

8.3 Martial arts training is a physical activity, you agree to have reached the minimum standard as required by (Kando Martial Arts) and that you are in physical condition to participate safely.

8.4 You agree to follow all health and safety instructions provided by our tour guides.

9. Liability 

9.1 JP Tours and Kando Martial Arts are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property that occurs during the tour. 

9.2 JP Tours and Kando Martial Arts are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes to the tour itinerary caused by circumstances beyond our control.

10. Complaints 

10.1 If you have a complaint during the tour, please inform your tour guide immediately so that we can address the issue. 

10.2 If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, please contact us in writing within 7 days of the end of the tour.

11. Liability Waiver  

11.1 Sign and complete the Liability waiver form no later than 40 days prior to  departure on Tour.  This will be sent out with the final payment invoice.

12. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and your continued use of our services will constitute acceptance of those changes.
